SMIRNOFF X GORILLAZ: TRUE ORIGINALS

RV partnered Smirnoff - the worlds no.1 one vodka - with the worlds most successful virtual act Gorillaz to launch True Originals, a new positioning.

Rooted in Smirnoff’s rich history of distinct cocktail culture each of the Gorillaz band members reimagined an iconic Smirnoff serve - the recipes and history were then inspiration for artwork and a limited edition bottle. To promote the work the band created their first ever brand advert which was launched across the band and brand channels and for use in PR.

Assets were utilised across Smirnoff Europe channels, Gorillaz channels, paid and organic influencer social, generating a reach of over 35m. Agency placed over 50 pieces of coverage in a range of media titles including nationals, lifestyle, hype and trend, music, trade.

The bottle sold out on Amazon in 24 hours and on thebar.com in 48 hours.
